Welcome to my website. Over the next year I will use this site to post assignments, powerpoints and documents that support your classroom learning. Please keep in mind that assignments are subject to change, and students will ultimately be responsible for assignment due dates as they are presented in class.

How to be successful in Honors Global Studies:
1. Read and Review Every Night! Remember to review past chapters too.
2. Own your Vocabulary Words. Use vocabulary words 3 times a day.
3. Participate in Discussions and Ask Questions.
4. Take notes during lectures. I will not allow students to skip note taking.
5. Take notes while reading. Use the note cards to write down questions and make note of important information as you read. These will be kept in your binder. You must have a well-kept and used notebook for this class with all of my lecture notes and class discussion information usefully compiled. You must also keep a composition notebook (Thesis notebook) that contains your daily bell work and writing assignments.
6. Form study groups to review and discuss information.
7. Be organized and responsible.
Parents, please understand that homework, notes and powerpoints are posted here as a supplement to what is going on in the classroom. Your child is still responsible for writing down assignments in class, and completing classwork in class. Notes and vocabulary definitions are counted as part of classwork, I will not accept printed out copies of these because this penalizes students who do their work in class.
Tutoring is available for students in my class every Tuesday after school from 3-4pm or by appointment.
